Andrés Reisinger a digital artist and designer presents ‘Take Over’, a series of digital art installations that questions what is real by adding hyperrealistic design elements to existing buildings. Andrés combines the physical and digital spheres to suggest a fresh and free interpretation of their possible interactions. He does that by reimagining major cities such as London, Rome, Paris, Tokyo, and New York City with hairy, fluffy, flossy, and fancy pink drapes.
It has been a long-time signature of Reisinger to permeate his work with alluring confusion between physicality and abstraction, drawn from his artistic questioning about what constitutes a ‘real’ work of art. The digital artist believes that anything that forms an experience is real, whether it be in the digital or physical sphere becomes secondary.
It is a sign of the times to question if a digital experience has equal value as a real one. And by doing so, also popping the question ‘what is real’?
