Apple CEO Tim Cook appears in a promotional video for the Apple TV+ series “Severance,” stepping into the role of a “severed” employee at Lumon Industries. The show, a workplace thriller, premiered its second season on January 17, 2025. The series explores the boundary between work and personal life, using dark humor and psychological depth.
In the promo clip for season 2 , Cook portrays an employee who has undergone a fictional surgical procedure that separates his work and personal identities. The video starts with Cook’s “outie” entering the Lumon elevator. As he descends to the severed floor, he transforms into his “innie,” greeted by Mr. Milchick, a Lumon supervisor. Milchick welcomes him as “Tim C., core of the Apple”.
The second season of “Severance” picks up where the first season left off, with Mark and his friends exploring the consequences of tampering with the severance barrier.
