Last February, synchronized across 90 electronic billboards at 11:57pm every night CONTINUUM, a digital art work by artist Krista Kim washed Times Square in healing light for 3 minutes each night, bringing calm to the hustle and bustle of the heart of New York.
Krista Kim’s Continuum is a soothing visual meditation using light that fosters a uniquely calming experience, urgently needed as the world persists through a pandemic that has disrupted and transformed our everyday lives, mental health and well-being. Kim’s peaceful digital reflection marks a notable pause to the non-stop, lively atmosphere of Times Square, offering a profound sense of peace to the masses on a monumental scale. The large-scale artwork was produced in collaboration with Efren Mur.
Krista Kim’s peaceful digital reflection took over Times Square as the world persists through a pandemic that has disrupted and transformed our everyday lives, mental health, and collective well-being for almost two full years. Using the technology of our times, she created a communal space that allows viewers to decompress.
