Finding a perfect match in the modern world might involve using a dating app or two, but recently Brooklyn (USA) is swiping left on the apps. Instead, people are lining up at McCarren Park to physically post up their Polaroid photos on a brick wall. This wall is a special place for singles looking for their next match as the co-founders of the Pique dating app behind the movement play cupid. “I think what people have been really enjoying is sort of the organic-ness of what this provides, even something small like handwriting,” said Vaishnavi Sesetty, one of the co-founders of Pique Dating App. To participate, you must scan a QR code at the park and donate a suggested $25-$60. For that price, you will have two Polaroid photos taken. One photo you take home; the other you stick on the wall, along with a colorful index card that includes some personal details — name, age, gender, what you’re looking for and words that describe you. So far, over 600 people ranging from 19 to 55 years old have given the wall a try. Those daring enough to participate are then able to check out their peers.
