It is not a secret that I am a huge print magazine lover, so when a new title comes out, I’m always triggered to buy, at least, the first edition, or even Issue Zero, if it exists.
When Perfect, Issue Zero hit the shelves in March 2021, it was a no brainer to order it before it was sold out. Not only because of my obsession for first issues, but because Perfect is the next brainchild of Katie Grand, legendary stylist and ex-editor of Love magazine.
“Issue Zero” of Perfect is 464 pages of pure visual content, looking more like a coffee table book (3 kg!!) than a standard glossy magazine. The first issue is hardbacked and square format, not only working with Britain’s finest hand-printer using a variety of beautiful papers and finishes but with a contributors range from the world’s biggest fashion names to diverse emerging talents in the art of image-making, offering an equal platform to all to express the most widespread visions. As Katie has splendid references and an impressive network, it’s not a surprise that the fashion house Gucci is the first to bet big on Perfect Issue Zero that is centred around an audio and visual project created with the Italian luxury brand.
Issue Zero is out on most platforms sold out, but still available on theperfectmagazine.com.
